The Royal Brunei Police Force's Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit carried out coordinated operations on Sunday, June 14, resulting in the detention of two local women suspected of involvement in vice-related offences. The enforcement actions targeted residential locations across the Brunei-Muara District in separate incidents.
During the first raid in Kampong Salambigar, officers apprehended a 39-year-old woman at a rented residence on suspicion of engaging in immoral activities. The second operation, conducted in Kampong Lumapas, led to the arrest of a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly complicit in and participating in similar unlawful conduct.
Both detainees, along with materials and evidence gathered during the enforcement operations, have been transferred to the unit's headquarters for questioning and further investigative work. Authorities have not yet disclosed additional specifics regarding the items recovered or the nature of the alleged activities under investigation.
