According to Datuk James Ratib, Sabah's Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, the documented incidents encompass deliberate vandalism, systematic equipment damage, and organised theft of valuable components. The pattern suggests this is not merely opportunistic crime but rather coordinated activity targeting high-value materials such as copper cabling, batteries, and specialised telecommunications equipment.
