All Four Humboldt Penguins at Japanese Zoo Die from Avian Malaria
Four Humboldt penguins kept at a zoo in northeastern Japan have been confirmed dead from avian malaria. The mosquito-borne disease killed the birds between July 9 and 19, with no prior symptoms visible.
