EU Orders Meta to Scrap Addictive Features on Instagram and Facebook or Face Heavy Fines
The European Commission has formally charged Meta with breaching digital regulations by deploying addictive features on Instagram and Facebook. The company risks fines of up to 6% of annual turnover unless it redesigns autoplay, infinite scroll, and recommendation systems.
