Seoul Swelters as Temperatures Soar Past 40°C, Marking Six-Year Record
Seoul and two other South Korean cities recorded temperatures above 40°C on Friday amid a severe heat wave. The mercury reached 40.2°C in Seoul's Nowon district, marking the first time the capital has exceeded 40°C since August 2018.
