Government Backs Mandatory Compensation for Road Crash Victims Under Amended Transport Act
Malaysia's cabinet has agreed to amend the Road Transport Act 1987 to require courts to order road crash offenders to pay compensation to victims or their families, strengthening accountability beyond fines and imprisonment.
